Game 1

I have good cards and early on use 2-2-2, INF ASSAULT and CENTER ASSAULT to move up in the center and get into good position. But my infantry rolls are off and do not eliminated a unit till my 4th turn but also take the medal hex. I also have closed with the Russian armor which are still in the hedgerows. A few turns later we trade kills in the center as I lose an elite infantry for one Russian tank. I lose a second elite infantry in the center but then I am able to bring two of my panzers into the center from my right to bag a 1 figure tank. There is little damage done till I use ARMOR ASSAULT which kills off a Russian infantry on my right. But a Russian TFH orders three infantry and two tanks. I lose an elite tank on my right, an elite infantry on my left and the panzer on my left takes two hits. My COUNTER ATTACK only orders 1 tank and two infantry. My 1 fig panzer wipes out a Russian tank on my left to make it a 6 to 4 game. I lose the 1 fig panzer but then take out an infantry on my right to win.

I had very good cards which gave me a 67 to 48 shot advantage. The hit pct was 34 to 42 against me.

Game 2:

This battle started out in the center with the Germans advancing to occupy the center town hexes. I moved up my tank on my right to fire at a center German infantry. A German TFH orders three infantry and a tank. I lose my right tank to a 4d attack - ouch! A center 1 fig infantry is also killed off. A few turns later the Germans play ARMOR ASSAULT but get no kills from this card. Although the Russian tanks are battered I have four in place and they are ordered by my own ARMOR ASSAULT. I wipe out the three panzers and an elite infantry in that turn to lead 5 to 2. But I have three tanks at 1 fig in the center and no way to move them. I then miss a 1 fig elite infantry with 2d. But a turn later bag this unit. The battle continues in the center and along the way I miss 1 fig infantry units three times while three of my 1 fig units are eliminated. This makes it a 6 to 5 game. I finally am able to get that infantry hit and win on my last turn.

In this game I had 55 shots to 53 and the hit pct was 45 to 43 in my favor. So, it was very close in the stats.

A tough first game for Vlad as I had very good cards but his TFH really got him back into that game. Game 2 was close and if his ARMOR ASSAULT had worked out better I would have been in trouble.
