Hi.

We met and just got finished. Didorapido was going to sleep and he requested that I post the result.

Game 1:

tank commander (Germans) 4 medals / 20 figs / 1 unit exited lost to Didorapido (Allies) 6 medals / 30 figs

The initial battle was in the center and after a furious exchange over several turns I was in a bad way with only two infantry with 1 figure each and my artillery. A key card play was an Allied BARRAGE which took out my panzers with 2 grenades. I trailed 2 to 3 at this point. In desperation I tried an infantry charge against the 2 fig Brit tank but only got 1 hit. I lost my infantry and was down 2 to 4. A few turns later I played BEL and got off 3d against the now 1 fig tank but missed. I was able to exit my infantry but instead of what should have been a 4 to 4 game with the Brit armor gone it was only 3 to 4. I despaired at my very bad situation. I did bag an infantry on my right. The Brit arty advanced in the center and did pick off one of 1 fig infantry to lead 5 to 4. In the end game I had chances but poor shooting (3 for 11) and included a miss on the 1 fig Brit tank again doomed me to a 4 to 6 loss. Our overal dice total was fairly even but the hit rate was 49 to 34 in Didorapido's favor and my 2 for 18 shooting on the Brit tank and missing to twice when it was down to 1 fig proved to be critical.

Game 2:

tank commander (Allies) 6 medals / 32 figs won over Didorapido (Germans) 3 medals / 14 figs / 1 unit exited

I took out the German arty on my first turn with BARRAGE. The Germans shifted to their right but with the help of AMBUSH I killed and infantry there. The Germans killed my far left infantry as the panzer went into the gully. They then advanced on their left. I used FIREFIGHT to kill off an infantry that came out of the gully on my right. I then pressed forward into the center and killed off an infantry there to lead 4 to 1. An interesting battle then occurred near the town by the exit hex and road. German infantry pressed forward and threatened to exit. I killed off one but lost an infantry. Then my ARMOR ASSAULT went 0 for 4 on a 2 fig infantry - not even a flag. that unit exited for German medal 3. I then decided to try and end the game as I feared that my opponent held BEL and with that card could score two medals and cost me 2 match points. I advanced two infantry to attack a 3 fig German infantry on the right Germans baseline and managed to kill it. Considering what bad luck he had in this game, Didorapido did very well to score 3 medals and he very nearly scored more.I had a 62 to 40 shot edge and my overall hit rate was 17% better.
