Game 1 (20 turns - 27 mins)

I use DHQ to break up my units but a US AIR POWER halves two infantry and takes out my artillery on my right. That flank is shattered and I think I shall not attack from there. But I move a few infantry into that flank to try and support the weak infantry. I lose an infantry to FIREFIGHT on my right. I can do little but move my left forces into the center while the US press on my weak right. I kill off a para on my left to make it 1 to 2 game. I lose an infantry in the center and another on my right and trail 1 to 4. The battle seems lost and all I can do is advance from my left and leave my right to its fate. But a few turns later my attacks in the center kill off two infantry and I take the medal town to tie the game and then take a 5 to 4 lead after killing off another Para in the center. A US BEL bags a center 2 fig Elite German infantry in the center but my COUNTER ATTACK hunts down the 2 fig Para that used BEL the turn before and 4d kills off that unit and my infantry moves back into the medal town for the win. A key turn was the US 9th turn when in the center only 1 hit was made on my infantry with 9 dice.At that time Eric could have had the lead or even won the game.

Game 2 (13 turns - 15 mins)

Eric advances three units on his right and I move a Para out of cover and take a potshot on the artillery and get a hit from a two flag roll. The main battle goes occurs on my left and I get the upper hand and kill off the artillery along with three infantry for no unit loss to my forces. I am able to bag a 2 fig Elite German infantry in the center with a 3d attack which gives me a 5 to 0 lead. After using ARTILLERY BOMBARD to move his guns into a left - center hex Eric takes out a 1 fig Para on my left with BARRAGE. I then move three Paras towards the German guns in the open and get lucky and take them out with 1d and 3d attacks.

Il me semble que c'est surtout le déplacement d'une infanterie à deux figurines vers un hex exposé au 20e tour qui a entraîné la perte de cette partie pour Ericleal (carte jouée : Infiltration).

Car en l'absence d'élimination au 21e tour, son gain était assuré à plus de 89% à condition de tirer une carte permettant d'activer une unité d'infanterie dans la section gauche (26 cartes/60). Donc, normalement son adversaire aurait dû alors jouer l'Infiltration en Contre-Attaque pour sauver son infanterie à une figurine.
