I just realized, that on the 1st Thursday of the month, have a meeting at work at 22h00 your time. I will confirm if the meeting is still happening. If so, maybe play 1 game Thursday and the other on Friday at the same time or perhaps just meet on Friday at 21h15 your time.

Merci Jacques for your patience and understanding and seeing how 2 of the lead group, AiW and VANDAMME37, now have 10 and 9 pts, another day to prepare our attacks will help one of us maintain contact with the leaders!!

Pff, j'ai plus un poil de sec, sueurs froides ... puis chaudes ... puis froides encore.
A l'aller, j'ai l'Axe, j'attaque gentiment au centre pour affaiblir son bunker et il me répond illico par une attaque aérienne : mes panzers sont réduits à 1 mais mon artillerie est sauvée. J'y crois et peu à peu, je prend et garde la main. Mais la bataille est dure et Gonzalan est un bon général : on est à 4/4. Il attaque deux unités affaiblies, il peut gagner, mais non pas de bol, j'en ai une qui survit. C'est mon tour, j'ai une carte au centre toutes unités, je fonce et finis une infanterie donc 5/5 et mon dernier tir sur son artillerie m'amène la victoire. Ouf, c'était pas loin !
Au retour, même début, il attaque sur la gauche et je répond par une attaque aérienne au centre qui réduit son infanterie, ses blindés et détruit au 1er tour son artillerie. Gonzalan accuse le coup, baisse de moral (compréhensive, j'aurai hurlé de douleur à sa place). Il continue vaillamment le combat et lance une attaque de blindés sur mes chars au centre. Je perd trois chars sur quatre, mais mon unité survit et je contre-attaque. Suées froides quand mes dés ne donnent rien par deux fois. Tony a un tir chanceux sur mon artillerie pourtant protégée, deux grenades ! Là, c'est moi qui part en live   , on est à 3/3. La bataille reste au centre et on n'arrive pas à se détruire mutuellement.
Je sort mon infanterie du bunker pour détruire un de ses chars : Argh, dés foireux, rien et je suis exposé au milieu du désert. Mais il n'a plus de carte au centre et ne peut rien faire. J'en ai tiré une au centre et active trois unités: mon infanterie se planque dans le bunker du centre, mes chars reviennent au contact et je détruis ses deux unités de chars restantes. Il attaque en désespoir de cause, par les dunes, mais mon bunker résiste et je contre-attaque avec mon infanterie, sixième médaille.  
Deux très dures batailles, je n'ai pas rigolé. Tony a perdu parce qu'il a eu plus de malchance que moi, sinon je crois qu'on se valait (bien).  

Jdrommel (Axe) / Gonzalan (Allié) = 6-5 / 23-22
Jdrommel (Allié) / Gonzalan (Axe) = 6-3 / 21-14

Total : Jdrommel / Gonzalan = 12-8 / 44-36

I confirm the results of my match with the esteemed designer, JDROMMEL, he moves up in the pack with 9 pts and I remain where I am at 3 pts and now have to fight to keep ahead of 3 others to maintain my place in CHALLENGER!

Felt good after the 1st game, a 5-6 defeat as ALLIES and then JDROMMEL lived up to his namesake as the DESERT FOX and showed me how to get things done in the desert!  As he mentioned, same opening of an AIRPOWER card, his got the desired results and I lamented to the DICE GODS as to WHY? WHY? WHY? Since my had not on the ARTILLERY.

As he mentioned, I soldiered on and with my tanks getting hit, though ended only 12-48 for 29% for him, with ARMOR ASLT in hand, felt I had to take the fight to him and did and got a surprise 2-2 hit on his ARTILLERY and give me brief hope, but ran out of steam and had no CENTER cards and looking for lucky 3-4, 4-4 hit with BARRAGE to possibly kill the units in the ROTUNDA and then move in to win the game.  

Well done by JDROMMEL and deserved win and now onto Round 4 with my match with BEKELIAN for my rookie pool of YAMAHATA where I hope to get the better of him since he beat me in my pool last COOL!
